Bildlabor Kleistpark

BILDLABOR Kleistpark — Museum | Collection | Artworking

In Berlin’s Schöneberg district, a new home for our collection, exhibitions, and artistic activities is taking shape. BILDLABOR Kleistpark is set to open in 2027 at Grunewaldstraße 8, 10823 Berlin.

The place of life and art experience in the heart of the city, it invites art enthusiasts to continually explore the intersections between contemporary art and societal realities.

Under one roof, BILDLABOR Kleistpark brings together the essential conditions that shape the art experience:

The impact of art – through a dynamic program of exhibitions and events, interactive educational opportunities, and innovative mediation formats

The collecting of art – featuring a diverse range of works spanning from the 15th century to the present day

The creation of art – in studios and workspaces for artists and creatives, offering insights into their working processes

The joy of shared moments – in the blooming garden of the café-bistro.

We Talk About Art

At the heart of BILDLABOR Kleistpark is the exploration of images: individuals, groups, and communities find access and inspiration to participate in the multidimensional discourse on art.

The participatory engagement with artworks—through specially designed conversational formats and performances—deepens the art experience. Invitations to artistic projects and research initiatives foster knowledge transfer, both rooted in the established practice of the Hegenbarth Collection Berlin.

Until BILDLABOR Kleistpark opens, exhibitions and events will continue to take place at our current location at Laubacher Straße 38 in Berlin-Wilmersdorf.
